So I have heard before that as you get older, your body starts to break down. I have become familiar with this phenomanon through my knees. I have one knee that crackles and pops if I stand on it too long. I have another knee that only aches when it rains. Not a big deal, these are both things I can live with. Last night I had the ultimate betrayal by my body. The very act of holding a phone was sending my neck into spasms. This cannot happen. I live on my phone, really. I’m one of those people that will drive back home if I have forgotton my cell phone. I never turn it off, I might turn the ringer off, but it’s still going to be on vibrate. But last night, I apparently pulled my neck while holding my work phone with my shoulder and trying to do something else at the same time. All I know is that it hurts from my shoulder all the way up past my hair line. I cannot hold a phone without using my hands. This calls for a day of rest. I am not engaging in any strenous activity until my neck is better. I have priorities.
